HAU GIANG – CA MAU EXPRESSWAY PROJECT COMPLETED ON SCHEDULE FOR FULL-LINE TRAFFIC OPENING ON DECEMBER 19, 2025
On December 19, 2025, the Hau Giang – Ca Mau Expressway project officially opened to traffic along its entire route, marking a major milestone in completing the North–South Eastern Expressway corridor and seamlessly connecting Lang Son to Ca Mau.
Within the project scope, BHT Traffic completed and handed over all Traffic Safety items and the Lighting System. These deliverables fully met all technical requirements, schedule milestones, and quality standards—standing ready to serve the first vehicles traveling on the route.
Key Infrastructure Project in the Mekong Delta Region The Hau Giang – Ca Mau Expressway is a critical component project of the North–South Eastern Expressway corridor. Stretching over 73 km, it traverses four provinces: Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang, and Ca Mau.
The expressway plays a strategic role in:
Reducing travel time from the central Mekong Delta to the southernmost region of the country
Relieving traffic pressure on the existing national highway system
Driving socio-economic development, logistics growth, and regional connectivity
The project also presented high technical requirements, particularly given the soft soil conditions, mud-pocket terrain, and unique climate of the Southwestern region.
BHT Traffic Completes Key Technical Packages in Sync To meet the traffic-opening milestone mandated by the Government, BHT Traffic mobilized maximum resources, executing continuous, urgent, and efficient construction to synchronously deliver all assigned packages, including:
Traffic Safety System: Standard-compliant traffic signs, corrugated beam guardrails, anti-glare mesh, and safety corridor fencing.
Lighting System: Modern, strategically placed high-mast light poles ensuring optimal visibility and safe driving conditions, particularly for nighttime operations.
All packages underwent strict quality control, technical compliance, and timeline management to ensure safe, stable, and long-term operational capabilities.
